Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 30, 2026 This explains what Direton collects, why, and what you can do about it. 1. What we collect Account details. Your name, email address, and password, which is stored hashed and never in readable form. Listing details. Everything you publish about a business: name, address, phone, website, hours, photos and categories. This is public by design, because the point of a directory is to be found. Audit data. When you run a presence audit we fetch public information about the business from Google, measure the speed of its website, and ask AI assistants questions about it. We keep the report and the raw data behind it so you can reopen it later. Claim requests. When you claim a listing we store the method you chose, the address or number the code went to, and anything you wrote to support the request. Messages. What you send through the contact form, so we can reply. Technical data. Standard server logs. If you allow it, your approximate location, used only to center the map on your area. We keep it for the session and never store it on our servers. 2. Why we use it To run your account, publish your listings, generate the reports you ask for, reply to you, keep the service working, and stop abuse. Nothing else. 3. Who else sees it Only the providers that make the service work: our hosting and database provider, Cloudflare R2 for images, Resend for email, Google for maps and business data, and the AI providers behind the visibility scan. Each one gets only what its job needs. We do not sell your data. We do not share it for advertising. We will hand over data if the law requires it, and we will tell you when we are allowed to. 4. Cookies We use a cookie to keep you logged in and remember your theme. There is no advertising or cross site tracking on Direton. 5. How long we keep it Your account and listings stay while your account is open. Reports stay so you can compare them over time. Verification codes are deleted the moment they are used or expire. Ask us to delete your account and we remove your personal data, keeping only what we are legally required to. 6. Your choices You can see and edit your listings from your dashboard, change your account details, ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it. Location access can be revoked in your browser at any time and the site keeps working without it. 7. Children Direton is meant for businesses and is not directed at anyone under sixteen. 8.
